The Director of CEATIC of the UJA participated in the XIV International Seminar of Language and Journalism


The Director of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Information and Communication Technologies (CEATIC) of the University of Jaén, L. Alfonso Ureña, participated as a guest speaker in the XIV International Seminar on Language and Journalism, which focused on 'Spanish and machines: language, ethics and journalism'.

The event was held in San Millán de la Cogolla on 3 and 4 October, this seminar was presided over by H.M. Queen Letizia and was attended by a small group of specialists in various fields of knowledge such as quantum physics, journalism, linguistics, computer science, humanism, etc. The seminar was developed around three debates: artificial intelligence and ethics, journalism and machines, and Spanish and machines.

L. Alfonso Ureña is Professor of Languages and Computer Systems at the UJA and President of the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing.
